About the event
The IX Australian Conference on Laser Diagnostics aims to bring together Australian and international researchers to discuss the development and applications of laser diagnostic techniques.
Held in Adelaide, Australia, this three-day conference builds on a series of successful conferences, starting with the first Sydney conference in 1996.
The steering committee agreed on a new name for the Australian Conference on Laser Diagnostics in Fluid Mechanics and Combustion. It is now the Australian Conference on Laser Diagnostics.
Areas of interest include, (but are not restricted to): Turbulent flows, reactive flows, multiphase flows, hypersonic flows, food, wine and water, laser and photonics, optical devices, engineering applications, solar energy, mineral processing, space and defence, environment, plasma, combustion, agriculture, and imaging.
One registration, two conferences
The IX Australian Conference on Laser Diagnostics will be immediately followed by the 2019 Australian Combustion Symposium (ACS). The ACS is a biennial meeting and is Australia’s pre-eminent conference in the field of combustion.
Our keynote and technical speakers will discuss topics including recent developments in turbulent combustion modelling; the development and application of structured laser illumination planar imaging; and spatially resolved surface enhanced raman scattering for multiplex identification of antibody-antigen interactions.
